19.2" (0.5m) Newtonian Reflector at Torquay Boys' Grammar School

This is located inside the dome of the 'Torbay Observatory'

The primary mirror is 0.5m in diameter, with a 2m focal length (F4). The drive system is fully computer-controlled, with an object acquisition database and highly accurate tracking capability. Both CCD still and video imaging cameras are supported.

Telescope mechanical construction was largely performed by Ian Walsh (behind the telescope on left of image). The drive system software and electronics were developed by David Norman (right).
